EXPERIMENTER exhibits art that is representative of the current times.  Its program is devoted to show works of emerging and mid-career artists who are constantly challenging the boundaries of visual art to express their interpretation of the contemporary world.  The gallery's mission is to represent and support mulidisciplinary work of young Indian and international artists.

Experimenter is housed in a 1930's old style building in Kolkata's lively Gariahat area. With ceiling heights of over 12 feet, the space is a conceptual treat for artists as well as art thinkers.  In the center of the main gallery, an 8ft sq. by 2ft deep recess (originally the courtyard of the old building) makes the space completely experimental in nature in line with the gallery philosophy. 

The gallery has been designed as a neutral space for contemporary art and at the same time retain the characteristics of the orignial building.  On the infrastructure front of the gallery boasts of one of the most advanced speciality AV and lighting systems in the industry and provides maximum flexibility in art display and viewing.
