Created in 1973, the Infantry Museum in Montpellier was renovated in the late 90's, which allowed it to triple its exhibition space. In 1999, it was opened to the public. Since its creation, it is the only Ministry of Defence museum devoted exclusively to the history of the French infantry from its beginnings to the present day.
