"Founded in 1974, Pleiades is one of the oldest and most successful artist run galleries in the country. All of its members are artists. It renews itself through a rigorous process, selecting new members based upon an evaluation by the membership of an applicant's work.

The membership of the Gallery includes artists of established and recognized accomplishment, recipients of awards and grants, and emerging artists whose work has achieved peer recognition.
The Gallery features the work of its artist members in solo and group shows. In addition the Gallery typically conducts an annual show curated by a distinguished juror. Non-member artists are invited to submit work.

Pleiades Gallery is located in the heart of Chelsea, the vibrant and rapidly growing center of the visual arts in New York City. The Gallery should be on the itinerary of every visitor to Chelsea interested in contemporary art."
