What is Cvltvre?
Cvltvre is a service for people who love culture, music, reading, travelling, art.... People in Cvltvre submit their favorite events, their preferred museums, their artistic images, and their thoughts through the different tools that Cvltvre offers. You can also submit your favorite items, comment or like what other have contributed and start conversations about your creative experiences.
Do I need anything special to use it?
All you need to use Cvltvre is an internet connection and a valid email account. So far, the site is in private beta, so you need an invitation from a friend how is already a cvltvrati, or from Cvltvre itself. Email us at
info@cvltvre.com to get your account. Once you're in, update your profile. To get an idea of what other people are doing on Cvltvre, go to the community page.
How do I find my friends?
When you have your account, you search for people using the search box. Type in their name or username. You also invite friends using the "Invite Friends" button on the top of your community page.
What are Cvltvratis and Cvltvramis in Cvltvre?
Cvltvratis are people whose cultural activities you are interested in. If you like the images, blog posts, or comments that a cvltvrati is contributing search for him/her; when you are in his/her profile page you will be able to find out more about him/her. S/he will receive an email indicating that you have made her/him your Cvltvrati. If you use the "Add Cvltvrati" button you will start receiving updates about his/her activity in your own "Cvltvrati Activity" widget. Your Cvltvramis are those Cvltvrati who are interesting in what you are doing and have decided to make you their Cvltvrati.
What is the Community?
The Community is the main hub of activity in Cvltvre. In the Community you will be able to see what people are doing, what events they are interested in, what museums or blogs they like, or what images they are commenting.

How do I contribute to the Community?
Just go to any image, event, feed, museum, blog,..., and like it or comment it. Your update will automatically show in the Community.
Connections?
One of the most exciting things we have prepared for you is our CONNECTIONS tool. If you would like to find more stuff like that museum you love, your favorite musician, things to do in a city, themes discussed in the blogs, or, actually, any other thing, look for this icon (

) and move your mouse over the icon: you will find interesting connections with the item you are in. If there are no connections yet, you can create expose them: if you type in what you are looking for and press the search button, you will be given back all events, museums, and blogs that have some kind of link to the page you are in. Using CONNECTIONS you will find a web of interesting and useful surprises!
How do I upload an image to Cvltvre?
You can contribute your artistic pictures to Cvltvre either through the Photos functionality, to a collaborative album in Sites and Sights or into your Blog posts. Just make sure that you have reduced the size and weight of the image so that Cvltvre can manage it. In the future, Cvltvre will do this for yuo automatically, but at this point this will fall on you. If you have issues with your images, contact us at

How can I add an Event?
Go to the Events page, and press on the "Add Event" button. You will see a form in which several fields are mandatory (look for *). When entering the address and geographical information, make sure that the address is in the format that our system reads in order to geolacte it appropriately: in the address field, Cvltvre just needs the name of the street and the number. Avoid adding things like "corner of..."
How can I add a Museum?
Follow the same directions as in Events. Remember about the address!!!
How do I use Feeds?
Go to the Feeds page, then press the ADD/Remove Feeds button, and the again the ADD Feed button. A new window will open in which you will be able to enter the Feed URL of the publication, that is, the web link that your favorite sites give you in their RSS pages: just paste it here. Then add the title you want to use to identify this specific source, and then introduce the tags you want so that you can search through them later on. Then, press the ADD FEDD button and the system will fetch for the latest news from that source. Do the same with all your favorite sources of information.
Once you have all your sources, you can start reading, navigate through their titles or use your own tags to get to the source you want to read. On the top left hand side, you will always be able to navigate to your feeds main page and sort through the posts you have enjoyed. Do not forget to share with the community.
If you like to read what your friends are reading, use the Select a friend button, choose the friend you are looking for, and move the mouse over the Title of the publication you like; you will see that a SUBSCRIBE button shows up; press it and the source will be added to your own feeds.
Can I have my own Blog?
Yes, you can! Go to the Blogs page and start sharing your thoughts and ideas with your friends and like-people in Cvltvre. The left-hand side column functionality will allow you to easily navigate in your blog page. If you want to share your blog with people who are not yet in CVLTVRE.COM yet, press the View Blog link: when you share the address in your browser, this page is viewed from everywhere.
Who will see what I submit to Cvltvre?
There are two kinds of items in Cvltvre. Museums, Events, Feeds, and Sites and Sights are completely public. This means that all cvltvrati can see and enjoy them. Your own Blog posts, Photos, Pages and Groups can be posted to be Private (only you can see them), seen only by Friends, by people logged in Cvltvre, ot to the universe (Public). In Pages and Group Discussions you can decide both who can read and who can write to them.
How do Groups work?
Groups are dedicated spaces devoted to collections of cvltvrati who share some kind of artistic, cultural, musical, or academic interest and have decided to work together and exchange their creations. You can create your own Groups or belong to several Groups.
Who can access the Group I have created?
You decide that! You can make your Group closed (users must be invited), or Public (any user may join). Once you have created your Group, you can enable the Group's event calendar, Group discussions, Group pages, and Group Photo Albums. The owner of the Group can also Invite friends and Manage requests to join the Group by using the buttons on the left-hand side of the Groups page.
What are Pages?
Pages are a space for you to build or import your own or favorite web pages.
Which languages does Cvltvre support?
So far, English and Spanish.
How do I report spam?
Report spam by emailing to support@cvltvre.com.
Why are accounts suspended?
Accounts are suspended for Terms of Use violations or spam investigation.
